In 2020, the world was thrown into something that we never expected. what started out as just a few cases turned into the global pandemic that we know as COVID-19, spreading across the world. We chose our theme to be covid-19/virology because of its relevance to our current situation. Covid-19 has shown the incredible work of scientists and researchers across the globe, remarkable efforts to collaborate across country borders, and the tremendous resilience of our healthcare workers. We chose to honor the experiences behind covid-19, capturing the good, the bad, and even the scientific within this mini “pilot” issue, and we are so excited to share it with you all.
